Do i really need a fuel pressure reg?!
Im nearly coming to a completion of my h22a5 motor build with type-s pistons, crower stage 2's and rc440 injectors. I spoke to xenocron about getting an adjustable FPR and they said there is no need as the stock one is good to 450 whp. I was under the impression that you need to be able to adjust the fuel pressure when tuning..... This is my first ever motor so i have no idea how a motor gets tuned. im aiming for about 210-220 bhp
lowest hp & tq of any H22.
Not trying to discourage you or anything. I've just never heard of something building an A5 for that reason.

yea the reason the power and torque are lower than the usdm engine is due to tax and emmission if im correct and its all in the tuning of the ecu. but uprating parts and converting to p28/p72 ecu all the power should be unlocked, the same as any other h22
thats the plan anyway. so back to my question please? lol

Ok cool. Im putting the engine in an ek so do you think the fuel pressure is going to be ok for my 440cc rc's? What sort of fuel pressure should be ok, about 40psi?

yea there are ways where you basically maul the reg with a hammer and socket to change the operation of the diaphram in the reg thus increasing pressure. but its irreversible and a bit unorthadox as 92civiclude says. dont know what sparked all this other nonesense in the thread :s but there you go
