Lower ball join won't come out help
Hi,
I am having a problem taking my axle off.
I took the hub off and everything, i was originally replacing studs but it caused more problems.
The ball join is stuck between lower control arm and the joint i need to separate them i have the Ball Joint Separator Fork. It just won't come out really frustrating any help would be great.

mines stuck too, im just gonna sawzall the damn thing off.
try this though it usually works, but not for me unfortunetly.
jack the suspension all the way up till the car starts to lift and stop. jam a socket wrench handle in between the joint and the arm and then let the jack down. it usually pops it right out.

unless you are super carefull a pickle fork is going to **** the boot anyways.
When dealing with frozen ball joints and you have been pounding on them for a hour you start to not care if you screw them up.
Oh yea, i forgot to add, be carefull not to hit the threaded part with the hammer hard. It could cause them to mushrum

I was having trouble too... the freakin ball joint kept moving along with the nut.... I ripped the bushing and put some vice grips on there and went ratcheting away.... to my luck the freakin ball joint broke off... It was a relief...
any pics of ur problem?
thats the first time i have actually LOL'd in a tech section. you guys might wanna leave the castle nut threaded on the ball joint if you are hammering on it, unless you like changing those little ****ers out...not fun
I had the same problem and did all that but the only way that worked was to stick a cone shapped piece of steel so it wont damage the rubber boot.. the cone shapped makes the balljoint seperate automatically the further you go with it.. i know its not very clear but it works for me ! you just take a hammer and hit the backside of the steel cone so it pop right off..it works the same way that the picke fork but it does not damage the boot
