B16 not fast enuf 15.2 /1/4 mile
Hate to break it to ya, but OBD0 B16 EFs usually run a 15.0-15.5. What are your mods? What were your 60' times and your trap speeds and we can give you a better idea of what you may be doing wrong.....
When he says a bunch of mods, he means spark plug wires, external coil, ebay chipped ECU and a Password JDM whale ***** intake....... Your car probably makes less power now then it would have if you had stock ignition, and stock ECU.

Most of those E-Bay "chipped" ecus just make the car run super lien or super rich and usually don't make any power from stock and slowly destroy the engine.....
Ok sorry i'm having problems with the car. I have a b16a2 long bloc with a ctr b16b short block and i'm swaping it in my crx but i have the moter in my 88 civic and trying to work the bugs out the car was faster befor like 14s.i dont know but it's like it's spudering in high rpm.it's like it lost a littel power.
That was no help. Take the car to a dyno and have it tuned. Make sure you have an adequate header, intake, exhaust, FPR and reprogrammable ecu.

the b16 is a torqueless wonder piece of crap
Sell the b16 for some bank, buy an LS motor (non vtec b18), put your boltons/mods onto it, and enjoy more performance and still make profit from selling b16
peak horsepower is nothing to compare down a quarter mile. Take a look at a few dyno graphs of stock b18s versus b16s
They make more power earlier, and even though they do NOT make as much PEAK power as the b16, they beat it in the quarter mile.
One of the biggest reasons you never saw honda factorey install a b16 into the integra.
a GSR motor would destroy the b16 in every way. bigger, more balanced, more power, more torque everywhere
yea my bone stock Ls swapped hatch ran 14.9 and im sure i can do quite a bit better with a better reaction time and tune... but my car is now ls/vtec and im awaiting a few things to get the motor to where i want it so i can get it tuned and then see what i do now on the 1320...
THis whole thread is garbage. I have taken plenty of NA B16 setups with decent boltons I/H/E into the low 14's on street tires. OP you are a snotty little bastard that already knows it all and can't be helped by anyone much less on an internet forum. Everyone knows someone like you. Jacked up swap in an EF with as much ebay bullshit as can be had, a way overadvanced distributor, some POS "Mugen" chip and a bad attitude because you are getting yor *** handed to you by well modded NA Dbangers with some seat time. You are the kind of person who takes it to 5 grand and sidesteps the clutch and bitches your 40 dollar tires will not hook worth a ****.
