Hi im new to honda's but ive become some what firmiliar with them after working with my b18. I recently bought a 1991 Civic HB with a b18a1 swap.
Ive been looking at other swaps on this site. Ive came to a conclusion, Who ever swapped this b18 into this hatch HAD NO CLUE as to what they were doing. Its runs rich,engine shakes a lot,the map sensor is bad, the CEL comes on after driving for 10-15 mins then the car seems to run better, it looks as if there are hoses missing along with the timing being off. Can someone please give me on advice on how to Hook everything up the correct wayan basicly fix up this cars engine, to run proper. Thanks

Thanks, I ordered a new map sensor today so it should be in the week. What should i start first makeing sure the wireing is correct or the vacumm lines are all on cuz i know that 2 of them are off

 

i would check your motor mounts, your engine shouldnt be shaking like that

 

check to make sure the wiring is correct, and for maintenance purposes i would change out the vacuum lines anyway.

 

I Checked the motor mounts they seem to be just fine. I removed the map sensor so the car would go into limp mode and the motor shakes like a normal engine should but i put it back in and it starts shaking again thats why i ordered a new map sensor. also does anyone have like a picture of what hoses should go where so i can get every thing right?

 

Also this is a stock b18a1 im planing on get headers and exhuast soon. I would like to turbo it but ive researched that a unbuilt b18 will handle 8 psi of boost, is this true? i would like to build it reliable then turbo it but i can not find a good reliable set up would i be possible for someone to give me a list of what i would need to get and do to the enigne so itll handle more boost
