How's it going guys/girls. Im curious if anyone has some suggestions for me. My allmotor h2b goes high 11's. I have a zex we kit on it right now and i'm going to use a 100 shot at the track soon. Suggestions on what plugs to run, i am using ngk bkr7e right now, i know i need a colder plug so what do you usually use? Thanks

Start with NGK 9s or 10s and see what they look like after a couple of pulls on the dyno or one pass at the track.

I used some really cold Champion race plugs that I had to order back in the day. Other than that I used basically what Xenocron suggested with nitrous. This was a long time ago though.

Thanks, i appreciate the help. Now also, on a positive thought..... What kind of failures should i expect, lol. If my engine doesnt like the 100 shot, should i be expecting burnt rings, dropped valves... lol not sure what damage comes from nitrous.

Ummm, you should possibly not want to use nitrous if you are worried about it letting loose. Nitrous, if I remember correctly builds up a ton of heat in the exhaust valves and in the combustion chamber in general. Just like any other power adder it can and will tear some stuff up in a second if not done correctly.

I have seen all sorts of damage from nitrous. Blown apart intake manifolds, messed up carbs, burnt pistons, dropped valves, melted plugs, hoods and fenders torn up from nitrous backfires. Albeit, most of these catastrophes happened with RWD cars, that does not mean it cant happen on a Honda.

I think you can run the plugs you have now on that small shot. I run an 8 heat range with double that shot on top of 30psi.

Lol, i'm not worried about blowing it up. I was just curious about the damage from nitrous to be ready for anything. If it blows, i'll build a better one. Thats what we are here to do right, get the best times we can with what we have and forget about precautions. Car is not daily driven, just used for racing. I'm awaiting my built h22 to get done so i can continue on my all motor race car. Just trying to see what i can get out of a already 11.8 car, with a 100 shot. Thanks for all the advice, appreciate it all and i will look into the plugs. Thanks. Let you know how it goes on wed night, good or bad.

You shouldn't hurt anything at that power level as long as you are smart about it. Make sure your air/fuel is good....too rich can be just as dangerous or more dangerous than lean on nitrous. Take about 4-5 degrees of timing out and it will make good power. Splash some race gas in there for a little extra safety margin and have at it, but it should be fine on pump. I have this disease where after I make a couple passes, I always find myself digging into my jet box looking for the biggest ones in there LOL Don't do that.

I'm ask opinions -

Built b20vtec - 13.0cr -
I'm using a 1 gallon fuel cell just for my wet shot nitrous - it'll be a 50 shot, yes small.. but a wet shot.

I'm on 8's right now gapped .035.. suggest going to 9's for the nitrous or am i fine?

Possible will use either e85 or race fuel for the nitrous.

Lmao. Thats hilarious. Well that is my problem. I am running the 11.8 on the motor, and instead of spraying the 55 i'm just saying screw it and go with a 100. I'm leaving the other jets home so i dont puss out or go bigger. My friend just suggested that earlier that he has like 2 gallons left of c-16 so like you said ill throw some in and run it. Prolly just end up using the bkr7e like you said also. Thanks for your help man, and everyone. Any predictions on times??

If your car is running 11.8's on motor and you are going to throw the 100 hit on it. It should go into the 10's. Not sure it will do it first time out, but it is a possibility. Get your jetting straight, timing straight, bottle pressure right, and get the launch down. Let it eat!!!!

We need to start a support group. I have the same damn issue. Mines worse though it involves not lowering timing and some times adding some. Which is very stupid if you did not know.
