Default Rsx question ??

Well maybe base trim owners can answer this but type s' have more power so...I was wondering if any of you guys were cruising @45-50mph in fifth gear and down shifted to second smashing it and chirped the tires?

why do you want to down shifted to second?
first your gonna blow your engine
second maybe you want to get rid of your car
you can down shift to second but you need the heel toe technique LOLz and if your racing

I can speculate that your next RSX-related question will be "I was wondering if any of you guys hear a grinding noise when you shift into 2nd gear?"

Or perhaps, "I was wondering if any of you guys know how to fix a bent valve, and would it be related to a knocking noise coming from my engine?"

Lol. Maybe for you Rsx owners it's 4th to 2nd since you guys have 6 gears. I did this last night with my prelude and chirped my tires and was excited about how much power my car had. (and no you don't have to heel toe but I couldve) I guess for you guys who are scared to down shift that far, I was asking if you ever chirped doing a 50 roll in second.

more than a chrip.. just an overall loss of traction.. one might consider it to be a burnout if you weren't trying to win a race

"Chirping" tires doesn't mean your car is powerful.

It just means you have shitty tires.

Was there a reason in particular why you performed this amazing feat - "cruising @45-50mph in fifth gear and down shifted to second"

How is Neo-Gen a shitty tire?..It serves its purpose as an all-season tire..most people in this section use their car for DD, not needing a 160-200+ tires for their needs...

even when i did have a better tire on my car, i still chirped...unles goodyear eagle f1 tires are shitty too....

All season tire = ****. No grip whatsoever.

No matter how justified their use may be, it doesn't change the fact that they make noise because they break traction because they have no grip. That's not subjective - it's a fact.

If you're going to come on here and brag about how incredibly awesomesauce you think your car is because it can chirp tires, I'm going to laugh at you since I know it's because your tires are garbage.

bawahaha...i dont care if my car chirps tires or not....they grip good enough for what i use them for so my justification is what it is...i use the tires for what they are intended for, dd...im not gonna spend upwards of 200/tire for extra grip riding around town and daily driving, maybe if i used my car for road courses i could justify the extra money but for dd use these tires are suffice...

Agreed. Finally someone who can relate. And FYI this was in my 97 prelude- I didn't wanna brag at first- but if your guys rsx's can't do this at least from 6th to 3rd preludes are better then
