New Cat Problem
My "Airmass High Flow" Cat. Converter is missing the O2 sensor slot, I have the old O2 sensor still and I know that the check engine light is gonna stay on eternally unless I do something, Somebody help me out.
Buy an o2 bunge or a nut that will fit your o2 and have a muffler shop cut a hole and weld it onto the piping.
I used to have a hi flow cat and it didnt really do anything all it did was burn out faster and make me not pass smog so i had to buy another cheap one to pass and next time i smog ill have to buy another one. I say just get a test pipe for the track and keep your stock cat, I had to get a new cat because the stock one wouldnt fit my motor. I dont know what smog regulations are in your area but they are strict here, so just a suggestion.

okay well here's another question, DOES THE SECONDARY O2 SENSOR EVEN MATTER? cause I've heard of bypasses to the secondary O2 sensor and I'll just look into that if it doesnt effect anything, I can live with a engine light for alittle while
I had pretty much the same problem... A muffler shop installed the nut i needed to screw the o2 sensor in for only $25.00.. and the secondary o2 did make a diferrence with my car.. low idle and everyday driving felt much better with the o2 in.. the car was much more responsive and more confortable to drive.
i just got done helping neoblack1108 with his install..... along with the new hi flow cat, we also installed a tanabe exhaust and the skunk2 short shifter...... when we took a test drive, everything sounded great, but it smelled like there was something burning for basically the entire time we drove it, and even after we were done. the smell seemed like it was originating from under the car, and the shifter boot was fairly hot........ any ideas of what this could be?????
also.... how do you reset the ecu????

its all the gaskets and stuff burning, it happens when you first install everything, it should go away after a few days...To reset the ecu pull the backup fuse and the hazard fuse under the hood fusebox for a couple minutes, plug the fuses back in and start it up and let it idle for 5 minutes to let it readjust.
