Default Alternator Substitute

Would it be appropriate if I used an Acura TL 2.5L alternator in place of my 1999 Honda Accord? Or maybe use a 1996 Honda Civic alternator instead?

Is there a site available to let me know where I can find this stuff out?

You could try cross referencing part numbers on Majestic Honda.

Not sure of the shape of the alternator and the pulley type (belt size and width it may require), but you always want to put an alternator that can deliver the same amount of amps as the OEM one or higher.
