How to remove extended studs when broke down on the side of the road?
The CRX I bought has extended lug nuts (but normal studs =/ rice?). I've been daily driving it and I'm afraid of getting a flat and not being able to change it. The lug wrench that came with the car is for standard lugs. At home or a freinds I can just use an impact gun and deep socket. But what about on the side of the road? Would a 1/2 in drive breaker bar and a deep 19mm socket work?
Switch the lugs out for regular ones and sell the ricer ones would work too. Its a worthless mod that ricers love. Just my $0.02 though.
damn reading owns me. i guess my mind assumed that since the title says how to remove extended studs i thought he actually had extended studs.
o/p, hit up schwabies for some normal sized locking lug nuts, will cost around 30 to get them with the tool, but it's worth it.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I plan on buying some and selling the ricer ones.
And typing pwns me, as I realized when I came back to check this that I put extended studs in the title.
I'll do the breaker bar/socket thing until I can actually get some new lugs.

Meh, it got me too. I read the title, wondering why you'd have to change a broken stud on the side of the road. All you have to do is drive it with 3 until you get to where you can change it. Then I read the post and he's talking about lugs.
