im pretty sure the computer on my 91 lx is bad. looking to replace. its a pt3.

mine (automatic) is model: 37820-pt3-a53

standard transmission models listed as : 37820-pt3-a03

will either one of these work okay, since there is a separate Trans Control Unit? or do i need to get one for the automatic?

any other hondas or acuras have one that will work?

a local junk yard has a compatible car, but im just wondering if the computer will work, even if its a different year and transmission.

come on guys, i know this is an easy one!

junk yard has the computer, but act reluctant to sell it to me. every time i call its a new question, instead of asking all needed info in the first place.

"what year's the car?"
"automatic or 5 spd?"
"LX or EX?"

i told the guy that im pretty sure that any from 90-93 will work, since there is a separate trans computer.

i guess (from what i can gather) that the donor car is a 90 model w/ a 5 spd.

will it work?

 

screw it, i bought the damn thing already and am going to try it out tonight.

okay, it appears to work with the car, but it didnt fix the problem. bummer.

oh, and the new computer was off a 91 ex auto. mine's a 91 lx auto.
