Default Question about my B16 and Burning Oil

hi all

ok so my car

1996 Civic EX with a full SI conversion, interior, exterior, and a 2000 SI B16A2

motor has these mods

Intake
DC Header
Some exhuast called Wicked? No cats either. came with the car. Has a leak CEL is on for an O2

now the thing is

When the engine is running, but not up to operating temperature. (if i start the car and let it warm up for 2 mins or so) i do a quick rev to 2-3k and the exhaust spits out this powdery stuff(enough to cover my whole hand). sorta smells like oil but feels different. after i turn off the car. there is residue in the muffler and its black and powdery. it doesn't smell like oil

BUT, the car drives perfectly. VTEC kicks it nicely, no bogs, even idles perfectly at 700-800 rpm, when cold it revs to 1k or so then drops down to a consistent idle.

No weird noises from the engine bay(except the exhaust leak) not ticks or even smoke after i rev it

even odder the car seems fine once warmed up, it still burns a bit of oil but im told that's normal

is this anything to worry about? The oil seems fine. definately not a BHG. the exhaust does have some smoke after a drive(smells vaguely of oil) but goes away after a couple of seconds

im changing the oil to 5w30 synthetic today(if i have the time)

is this a problem i need to be worried about?

Water will condense on the inside of exhaust systems as they cool off. Then the next time you start the car it will drip or spit water for the first few minutes. If its burning oil then obviously the ex will have more black deposits. Its not uncommon to have these engines burn oil past the rings and become a little smokey in their old age.

Oil very may be getting past the valve stem seals. Sounds like you have a buildup of carbon too( maybe because of). How's the plugs look, along with the inside of throttle body? One thing, these engines were meant to rev. If it is runnining well enough, after doing you chks, take it out ,and run it hard, redline it(carefully). See what results you get. That's a beginning.
