Default ITR cam help

I bought a set of cams a while back and was told they were itrs. i did some research to make sure they were "real" itr cams. the intake cam has the two engraved rings at the end and the two protuding rings. only problem i ran into is there are numbers on the end of the cams "535" on both the intake and exhaust. I have heard honda cams never had numbers on the ends, So has anyone ran into this before? ill upload some pics soon when i get my camera, just looking for some ideas?

Did you google? And you will have better luck in the hybrid or all-motor forum.

Again--had he typed "ITR cam" or something close to that into google, he would have seen all kinds of threads (and pictures even!) comparing the various vtec cams.

And IMO this is still not a thread for this forum.

If you re-read his post again, you will see that he did the search on the ITR CAM. "problem i ran into is there are numbers on the end of the cams "535" on both the intake and exhaust."

To me, his question is very much belong here as we aRe the ones that live with these CAM day in and day out.

Now, to the OP question, I don't think and never seen any ITR CAM that has number on the end. I have handled close to ten sets so far and none has these number on them. Hope that help.

they do not look like they have been ground, but i guess it a possibility. i noticed too that hey look simialar to ctr cams, they did measure out to itr spec tho i believe ctr cams hav a slightly diffirent spec on the intake cam. i wish i cold verify those numbers tho, i called many dealers and other shops and no one has a idea about the numbers.

I think 98-01 ITRs are the same as CTRs. The IN cam looks like it could possibly have a coating pealing off, can you post a pic of the whole cam.

That sir looks like a CTR intake cam

The ring below the notch is indented, 00/01 ITR's are smooth (not sure about 98's)
