Default The CR-Z has landed.

Well, my work got its first shipment. And if you did not know, they made a very limited amount for the first year. We are only supposed to be getting 3 total for the year!! We got two today. I went to our PDI dispatch lady and requested that she give one to me. So she agreed and I ended up with a white EX with the 6 speed!!! SWEET! The other one was a silver ex-navi with the automatic with paddle shifters that another guy got later on.

A few things I noticed. First, if you have ever driven a Honda hybrid before, you know how the brakes feel like hitting a brick wall. This one, nope. Feels exactly like a normal car does. Also, all of Honda's that are hybrid and stick always seem to just drive like total crap. Not this one. It was so much fun.

Also, they have three driving modes; ECON, Normal, and Sport. I had it in normal a few times in like second at 3k rpm's and hit the sport button and it immediately threw you back in the seat a little, almost like VTEC kicking in on the B series. The entire time, i literally forgot I was driving a hybrid. Definitely sporty and fun, the six speed that is, i did not drive the auto, so I am unsure.

On a side note. If you get ride of the IMA crap, move the battery out of the engine bay, move the ECU to the passenger compartment, get rid of a/c, and the abs modualtor, and move the radiator forward some, there is more than enough room for a K series. A ton of room in the back already on the firewall side.

Anywho, onto a few pics.

The CR-Z is available in Japan since February. A long period to correct errors. IMHO you can buy one now.

The engine bay looks just as large as the Fit, but with out the over hang of the cowl. A k20 should fit in my eyes.

im gonna wait, honda will come out with some sort of "sport" model im sure next year.

Im sure they will sell out in the U.S. this year theres so much hype about these cars. Like the "fit sport" im sure hodna will make something a little more aggresive for 2012, even if its just better suspension and some lip kit.

Gary Force Honda here in BG, KY got 2 in yesterday some time.

My wife said "They came out with a new civic hatch, I saw it being unloaded from the truck, ITS SEXY!"

Like a good husband, I said "They don't have a new civic hatch, you must be mistaken."

We went to the dealership and saw the 6 speed manual in black and the automatic in silver. I have to say, pictures don't do this car justice. In person it is much better looking.

Don't get me wrong, I liked it based on the pictures, but I like it even more in person.

our dealer got 6 in...thats just today. i can already tell this car will sell WELL for honda. nothing like it in the market right now...its really something in person. i bet it will take to aftermarket parts well with a nice drop. an Si model with red-stiched interior and Si wheels should be sweet.

Just drove one today. Fun little car. It arrived just an hour before I drove it and I was the 1st to take it off the lot. Also got my 65 year old mother to take it out for a test drive as well and she loved it. I think it will be her next car actually in another year or two. She has an 09 Civic 4dr EX now with 30K on it.

The one we drove was the silver auto with Navi so it was loaded. Really not a bad price as it is just under $24,000 on the sticker. The thing I didn't like though is you can't get a power sunroof factory. The styling is great though IMOP.

I do know the dealer did break the rules though by letting us drive it as they are not supposed to show them to the public until Tuesday when they have the National release for them. The dealer did say I could have gone home with it today though but I wanna wait until I get to drive a manual. The auto is a 6 speed though with paddle shifter on the wheel which was fun. The sport mode does make a difference I have to say. Also the gauge cluster in amazing to look at.

Also the car is made in the same plant as the S2K in Japan which is nice. All of my personal Honda's except one have been made in Japan which I like.

Let me know your opinions of this car when you see one or are lucky enough to drive one.

We got a black 6 speed and 2 silver cvt's at work this past week. Haven't driven one yet though. I love the way they look though! I was bored earlier today and took the technical info guide modules and test on it. It has some pretty cool features. One im confused on is a little valve in the glove box you can either keep it warmer or cooler with whatever climate control setting you have. What the hell is that for?!

I saw one auto at our local dealership yesterday. Decent looking car, I like the lower rear facia, and the fron looks good. Not crazy about the upper rear, but I'm sure some mild technics could clean that up a bit.

I like the interior, would love to drive one.

It's only a matter of time before people start modding hybrids. As complex as we feel it is, it HAS to happen eventually here. Part of tuning evolution. Goodluck to bisi and the others. I personally think, as dull as the performance seems now, this is the car that will jumpstart a new groove in tuning.

Well the two my dealership got are both sold.

It would be pretty lame to only get two this year
