upgrading a throttle body
You gotta give a litte bit more info if you want you more responses...
Car/year/engine/what type of aftermarket throttle body are you looking to get?
Have you considered using a bigger OEM throttle body...if you do some searches you'll see alot of other Honda TB's will fit on most Honda engines and dramatically inscrease the inner diameter without having to do anything crazy at all, and alot of them can be found on craigslist/local junkyard*sometimes*

it will still work fine, besides a difference of 8mm is hardly anything
performance on the other hand won't make much difference except perhaps the highest rpms, which you probably don't drive at all the time, and only at WOT of course.
its your money, but in my opinion not worth it. if you really are set on a larger TB just get one off an integra or something.

A larger throttle body will hurt more than it will help in your case.
You might gain a minuscule amount of top-end power, but you'll probably lose low-end power. You'll also lose a ton of throttle modulation. You'll also lose money.

dude 80mm is huge I have d16y8 with a 56mm TB like everyone says theres no point if ur IM is 56mm and u want a 80mm

b18b - 60

hahahahahahahahahahHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HA!
a stock b series TB will be more than enough since they are all 60mm or bigger. then once/if you upgrade your IM you will be set. 72mm is ridiculous, unless your d15 has a custom made IM and is twin charged with nawzzz

This thread is messed up! There is not a lot to be gained by a throttle body upgrade, usually 3-4hp at best, and that's with the right size for you engine. Your single D doesn't flow that much air, i can't see going any larger that 60mm as an upgrade for that application. If you go too big, you will have major idle issues.
Even on a high flow engine like a B18C-R i am building, i went oversize, and stayed with a 65mm to keep good street ability.

does anyone know if the lug nuts matter cause i just bought some sparco rims for my car and the lugs are different then the old ones and so i am trying to buy new ones. the ones i am looking at are blue and 12x1.5. ohh and the rim size is 14"
