Ok my honda civic 2001 i notice when i hit RPM 5 my engine shake could it be the mount or coil? Let me know asap...

 

Can you describe it better all engines shake when there on. And by 5 rpm do you mean 500 rpm or 5000???? I'm assuming you mean 500 and yes there will be a small vibration at idle it could be from the front motor mount, it tends to wear out quickly on our cars.

 

Especially if they've done time.


Does the MIL come on at all?

If it were a bad engine mount, it would shake more often than just at 5k RPM. (assuming you meant 5,000 RPM)

Is the rev limiter coming on? Do the RPMs fluctuate, or does the engine just shake?

Does the shaking occur only while you're driving, or does it do it in neutral (or park) too?

Is it an automatic, or a manual transmission?


And you never answered; Is the MIL on? Have you checked for stored codes?
