So i removed my center rearview mirror just by popping it out of place and now I am struggling to get it back in.

This is what it mounts to on the headliner:


and here is the mirror:



i've tried tapping it back into place with a rubber mallet but it doesn't seem to want to go back in.

any help/suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

 

all you do to remove the mirror is remove the three screws and take it all off as an assembly. what have you done?

 

What year is your accord?
Can you fix the pics?

The 5th gen accord's center rear view mirror takes only 3 screws to come out and has a cover on top of it.
