Power Steering on d16y8 in EF
Can this be done. Just curious Im planning on swapping a d16y8 or y7 with y8 head into my sedan and would like to keep the power steering.
The power steering rack has nothing to do with the motor. The only thing that touches the motor is the power steering pump, it just bolts to a bracket that bolts to the block.
Get a power steering bracket for a d16y8, the bracket may be the same for all D series but im not sure about that. Then use the power steering pump from the EF.
I have a y8/a6 mini me, with power steering...so it works fine.

thanks. I was nto reffering to the Rack I was just curious about the pump and bracket I have read teh EF bracket wont bolt to the y8 head, Did not know if the EF pump would bolt to the y8 bracket.
Thats what im saying, im not sure if the brackets are the same throughout the D series family. I dont see why not, as most things are common between them.
Bump still trying to find an anwser for this I have tried the EF bracket on the y7 and it dont fit. and the pump dont fit the y7 bracket so Does anyone know what moount to use.
I dont ahve them laying around to just check and hate to spend money on them in order to test them Thus the reason im Asking the honda Community.
