Can this be done. Just curious Im planning on swapping a d16y8 or y7 with y8 head into my sedan and would like to keep the power steering.

The power steering rack has nothing to do with the motor. The only thing that touches the motor is the power steering pump, it just bolts to a bracket that bolts to the block.

Get a power steering bracket for a d16y8, the bracket may be the same for all D series but im not sure about that. Then use the power steering pump from the EF.

I have a y8/a6 mini me, with power steering...so it works fine.

Thats what im saying, im not sure if the brackets are the same throughout the D series family. I dont see why not, as most things are common between them.

Why don't you try out different d series brackets?
