Default 95 Civic sedan wont start

My bro just baught a 95 civic and it wont start. Pulled a #1, no spark, clean out cap&rotor. It will crank over but it wont start, my rpm guage will not even bounce. Im not familar with this car, it has no coil, so am abit confuse knowing that I maybe looking at an electrical issue. Car has been part for three months.
Gratz!

Does the fuel pump prime?

The coil and igniter unit are inside the distributor:

Didnt notice the sound. When I pulled the #1 plug, I noticed it was dried and did not even smell like gas. Thanks for the coil/distribiture skematic, never seen this set up before. How do you test it, do crack open the disssy?

Well, My gaspump made noise so Im guessing Its working. I pulled the #1 plyg to double check, dry and no gas smell. Pulled out main relay, intact tabs, and shinny. So Im working my way towards the dizzy, pulled it off and notice the roter did not rotate. Im thinking timing belt, so I pulled the iol cap and saw that the cam did not move either. Im I Anyone?

If the cam isn't turning theres something wrong, either the timing belt is broken or the camshaft snapped. Pull the valve cover and upper timing cover to see whats going on.
