Hey wassup peeps I just got an 03 EP3 and was looking at my redline and it's about 7300rpm. Thats about where it should be with a K-Pro mod right, but car is used so not sure. How can I check if I have it? I am concerned because there are two K-pro mods one for 87 octane and one for 91.
If I have the 91 octane K-pro mod and I put 89 octane gas in would it run decent still or detonate? Reason being is ive been using 87 but havent noticed anything weird. But I don't wanna put 87 if I need 91. Any help appreciated.

sounds like you have kpro and there are not two different kpro systems, your cars' kpro may have be set or tuned to 91 octane or 89 octane, take it to a tuner...let them tell you!!

Oh really. I must have misunderstood the info on hondata website. I thought the program was specific to the octane. Thanks for reply dude.
A easy way to tell if you have KPro is look at your ECu and see if there is USB port on the back of it...if there is then walaaaa you have KPro...if not then you might just have a reflash...

You avatar looks like my cat nahonda04 lol.. Peace out Yalls
a 7300 rpm rev limit... doesn't seem like a KPRO or even a reflash.
Reflash give you a 7800 rpm rev limit and I would image the KPRO would be about the same depending on the tuning! I could be wrong but that is from what I know... I would do like the other poster stated as in to check for a usb port on the ECU!

K20a3 - Rev limiter raised to 7700 rpm. I bet my car just has reflash. I'll check ecu when I find it. Not sure were it is yet.Different from civic ek it seems

I hit the limiter on the way home again to see the redline better and seems to be around 7500-7600rpm but hard to stare at that rpm. Is that rev limit posible with
K-Pro?
K-Pro?
i think the stock redline is around 6800 but the limiter is 7200ish. if its going past 7500 something has been modded. in k-pro you can set the limiter to wherever you wish i belive.

"Shifting away from the B-series engine, the seventh generation Civic Si adopted the K-series K20A3 engine rated 160 bhp (120 kW) at 6500 rpm and 132 ft·lbf (179 N·m) at 5000 rpm.[12] With a redline of 6,800 rpm, the Si distanced itself from the narrow, high-rpm"

Man on my old car I hit limiter plenty of times and never had probs doing it. The car can take it I'm sure so don't worry about it I'm not. I don't do it alot though. For me right now it's the only way to find the limiter on my new car.

And yeah I have plenty of other stuff I do besides play with my car.
Dumbass I could care less if you try to rev up to 9k but it won't prove you have kpro doofus. You prob don't even know where the ecu is. And Now resorted to name calling to save face.
Don't worry about my time. I do it when I want not when sum ***** from Honda-tech tells me.

the problem here is you are making people spend more time reading through all this than it would take for you to simply take the panel off and look at the ECU. in fact the retorts you keep posting take more time than checking the ECU.
attacking people for wanting you to get to the point when they are trying to help you is not smart. it makes no sense, actually.
enough of this nonsense.
