I have a CRX which I am having painted and before I took it into the shop I removed the moldings, mirrors, and wiper arms to refinish or replace.

I have an upper molding I removed and when it came out many clips broke. It looks like to replace the clips you need to remove/replace the rear hatch window. I would prefer not doing this, does someone have any other way to secure this upper molding? I am not sure if 3M tape would work on this one.

In the future practice removing parts like this in the junkyard before you do it to your own car.
