Redline MTL is supposed to be as good or better than syncromesh. I havent tried it yet but next week I'm going to try some since my 2nd is a bit scratchy...

I've been using that lucas additive with the honda mtf for my current transmission and it seems to shift a lot smoother and more solid than my previous transmissions. i used to only use the mtf fluid.

I am using Royal Purple 10w-40 in my tranny (D16Z6) and I really can't tell the difference between Honda MTF and the RP. Of course I have a shitty Luk clutch installed with a competition clutch waiting to go in.

If anything, any oil 10w-40 (synthetic only), RP Syncromax, Honda MTF. Don't use GM its not made for Honda's and I've heard so many people complain about GM crap.

DO NOT USE 10W-30, the tranny gets hot being attached to the engine, as well as gear rubbing and such, you want something that wont break down in head, 10W-40 ensures no breaking down of oil, and MTF is made for that high heat range.
