Hey guys, so I just bought a 95 Civic with 90k miles on it 5spd in really mint condition, however, it has Power windows! I was a little surprised and they are awkward little square boxes o.O. Well they just stopped working half way as they were going up...Now i am pretttty sure that 95 Civic DX's (D15b7's) don't come with power window. Wanted to know if you were to add power windows, and they died which fuse would you replace?

 

DXs did no have power windows, only the LX and EX models did. Are they OEM or aftermarket?

 

I'll snap pics but i let the car sit for about 30 minutes and now they went up, so i think theres somethign wrong with the motor. They're aftermarket i believe, very awkward looking lol, kinda like 50's light switches

 

Ok, so the power windows just died In the middle of tinting the cars....so now I have 4/5 windows tinted and 1 that is stuck half way open!!

There is a fuse that is circuit breaker and a bunch of stuff located right below the steering wheel. The circuit breaker was incredibly BURNING HOT! Could that be the issue? I've attached pics. Help me out, do I need to change the flashers, or circuit breaker or does it seem like a window motor issue? Thanks in advance!






Btw: the breaker is 10A - 12V, i cannot find this at any auto stores, lowest i see is 15 and they don't fit..

 

Those are aftermarket alright. About all I can tell you it try running 12v power directly to motor to try it, if it works the motor is good, if not theres something else going on (bad switch potentially), I can't see every being able to find a wiring diagram for those.

 

yeah, it looks horrid! I'm taking it back to the dood i bought the car from who apparently says his boss installed it, so I'mm have him fix it lol. Kinda wack..

 

Convert to manual!!!

 

or bettery yet convert the correct way using ex parts. that's what i did

 

So I tested the motor with a separate battery and the motor works, i got the window to go up, i think there is a block in the line from the battery to the circuit.
