Urgent, Need help: did search, really confused on how to power injectors on MPFI swap
I have done a search, and Im stumped. I keep reading this from one of the other post and it makes no sense to me:
Connect the yellow/black wires from the two DX injector harnesses and run it to the yellow/black wire on the injector resistor box.
I found like 3 wires on one side and two wires that have the yellow with black stripe on the other going towards the primary and secondary injectors I know the large wire was the primary power line, but i removed it from the drivers side harness and replaced it with the brown wire from the Si harness and plugged it into the # 1 fuel injector. was this right? If you guys have pics, it would really help me out right about now. I need to get this car running again before tomorrow

Not sure if this will help you, I feel for you though and I wish I could help now. At least you will be bumped.

this is pretty much the original article on the swap. everyone has referred to it, it was the only set of instructions i used for mine.
as for the yellow/black wires, there should be two: both coming from the old DX injectors. you're going to take those two wires, and connect them both to the injector resistor box. i'm not positive if both wires need to go there, but I would do it just to be safe.
so basically, you're going to cut off the old plugs from the DX fuel injectors, and connect those black/yellow wires to the injector resistor box. the extra wire from each plug will go to one of the 4 new injectors you're installing (refer to the guide for which ones, i don't have it memorized). the other two injectors will be run to those new wires you ran from the ECU, through the firewall, and into the engine bay (A3+A7). as for the other wires coming off the injector plugs (black/red), each black/red wire will be run to the injector rresistor box and connected to a separate black/red wire coming from there.
anyways, good luck, it's not hard at all. just double-check your wiring, make sure your connections are clean and solid (soldered, heat-shrunk, put in wire looms later on). refer to that guide, it's very simple and is all that needs to be done.

Thanksguys for the replies. Ill try those nwo. But one more question, Does it matter where on the green plug-in on the injector resistor:the red with black stripe wires for the 4 injectors were they are soldered to? I think that made sense.

no, only wire that matters is the yellow w/ black (power) everything else just increases resistance ( i believe) for the injectors. but order of the red wires to injectors doesnt matter

One more Question Tortex, Are there any unused pins in he stock DX harness I can use? Im missing one for C1 Connection and don't have access to any. Thanks.
go to a junk yard and pull a plug off a car they should not charge you much at all!
but when done you should have two spare wires coming out of one of the plugs just ues them! if you dont then us the first idea (junk yard).... good luck i just finished mine and i love it... so much more power...

Crap. I'd do that, but I got AC. Someone said on another forum that B2 and B11 are unused. I wish I could confrm this. Also, may I need to be
again but what did you mean when you said this?
origonal (2) yellow and black wires that went to old (2) injectors. connect them together then off to the resistor box. no thats not right w/ the brown wire. the other (2) wires from the origional 2 jectors go to jector 1 and 3 (i believe double check that) the other 2 jectors get wires ran straight off the ecu to them
<U></U> _______
You mean connect both yellow/black wires to the brown wire? then run the brown wire into the injector risistor box? Or do I have this backwards?

I used three rasources: http://www.rakshasa.net/crx/projects.html
sport compact car article
and http://resource.crx.org/modules.php?...=article&sid=9
all of them work well and are easy too read and understand the resource.crx even has info on swpas for the auto dx's

Man I've really messed up. Someone Plz answer this stupid question for me, from the distributor side of the motor to the timing belty side, give me the injector # order. is it 4231 or 4123? Does anyone know what it is that im asking? I need to get my wirning straight and this would make a good reference.
