I am sorry to say that i am new to Honda and haven't yet done any swap,so its better that you consult a technician for a brief guide.

88-91 civic/crx si transmission and distributor, pm6 ecu. you will also need to convert from dual point to multipoint injection.

I had a SOHC D16zc with a 98 ex intake and fuel rail and a pr4 ecu also used an 91 integra rs throttle body. I bought a 4 in to 1 header. Pulls 160 to the wheels. Got 168 with 114 oct, gas.

Hey i run a 91 std with 4 speed and a jdm d15b vtec swap, runs great and i beat intaked and exhausted sohc all day. go with a full obd1 conversion; rywire makes a awsome harness totally plug and play. and the mpfi swap in easy peasy. I always start with lots of ground work when i do wiring but ul find that stuff inside the great walls of honda tech. It's a huge place in here just pull up the adavced search and type away. lol

o/p, you don't have to get an si transmission, it's just most popular due to the final drive in it. dx trannies work just as well as si's and are easier to find, plus you're not flying through gears quite as fast.

you will want to convert your car to mpfi to get the most out of the zc, however you can run the dpfi set up on it.

Why would you bother replying with that?

I loved my zc with an Si trans. A nice LSD would have topped it off perfectly.

I used this site when I swapped mine and everything went quite well. http://www.fourthgenhatch.net/zc.html
He uses lots of detail so you should get lost anywhere.
