i got a 98sh in a trade a few weeks back runs like crap. it throws 2 codes well they popped up a hand full of times in 2 weeks since ive had the car. the codes are fuel trim and too rich/lean and it seems to have a misfire but no code. the exhaust sounds like its braking up im running the stock exhaust with a e-cutout the cutout shifts the exhaust out the side of my test pipe and through a resonator then out half way down the car i used the resonator to keep up some back pressure. it feels sluggish and rpms dip down and it will cut off but only when i come to a stop. i have done plugs and wires and checked comp... it sounds like a Subaru its not rings i have been there b4 washed the 3rd in my civic but any who if you need more info just give me a shout UPDATE: SO MY CLUTCH WENT OUT FUCC MY LIFE so after i get my clutch fixed in the next week ill be able to get back to this problem with it running like poopoo it sounds like its running on three cyl like a sputtering noise could it be a o2 with the codes i have?

 

sounds like you need to address those two codes.

fuel filter? fuel pump? dirty injectors? knock sensor? water in gas?

 

I'd say check all of the above suggestions as well as replace the O2 sensor. Good luck and I hope you get it fixed.

 

What are the two codes exactly? and if you can, get a scanner and look at your Long Term Fuel Trims (LTFT) and see what it is.
