I need a new shifter for my car. Iam currently using an ebay "Short throw" shifter and it sucks *****. What are you guys using in you're high power street cars?

tried oem type-r shifter,feels good too but doesnt fit my shifting style...

 

Ok I will give the OEM shifter a try. Are there any aftermarket shifters that are good besides long or gforce?

I have had the same one for years with a new oem bushing set...i used it to replace my dc sports one that broke on me during a race...the B&M is amazing! although i wouldn't call mine a high-powered street car...only ~350hp

I have OEM shifter in my car, love it. My brother has a dual bend short shifter in his car, and wants to put a OEM back in it. We are both right around your power level.

 

i loveeeee that shifter!!! I fell inlove with it without even making a pass. feels sooo good and sturdy.

using an oem dual bend shifter, same power level as you are. i have no complaints or issues

 

i used the type r shifter similar power to yours works fine for me

I love how people are relating their horsepower level to what shifter they should use. hahahaha It should be based on car type and whats out there to work with what trans. Not hp.

Just found that amusing. Sorry. B&M makes one of the best all around shifters no matter what car you run. I prefer the long throw oem shifter though on my Sentra, much less of a chance of mis shifts from 3rd to 2nd at redline. Ive never liked the feel of short throw shifters but if i had to rate one the B&M was by far the best and well made piece.

This was vs 3-4 different shifters out there.

 

Well when I was making 300hp I would miss 2nd every now and then. I went to the track last weekend and i kept missing 2nd and 3rd at 420hp.

 

i had an ebay short throw, i liked it. but syncros took the brunt.
swapped to gsr dual bend, with es urethane inserts.

stock ftw with a weighted hurst ball.

 

Yea looks like Iam gonna buy me an OEM one^, Thank you guys for the help.
