Default people with obd1 conversions please chime in

Trying to figure out how to read check engine lights with a obd1 conversion i no this question has probly been asked a million times but i cant seem to find the right answer tried the little blue conector under the glove box and the check engine light comes on and stays on thats it no blinking or nothing any help would be awesome thank you.

it depends on what conversion harness you have. i have the boomslang harness and you check the light like a normal obd1 car. there is the same plug as an obd1 car near the pasenger side kick panel.

This is a rywire conversion harness if that helps and thanx for replying quick and trynna help.

you need to connect the orange and blue wires that come off the conversion harness.

no. your old CEL plug will work. its always been there. its a "BLUE" 2 wire rectangular plug. just jump it and your CEL indicator will flash giving you the code.

all you have to do is ground the wire at A13, but that is the same as using a jumper on the 2 wire plug on the passenger side kick panel.

A13 is of course on the obd1 ECU plug. mainly because you have to think about it this way. the ecu jumper harnesses still utilize the OEM harness, they just do the re-pinning, and reconfiguring of the wiring that goes into the new ecu. so you can still simply jump the original plug that can be used instead of just looking at the flashing LED on an obd0 ECU.

I have rywire conversion on mine, just twist the orange and blue cable that was loose
