Default help converting obd0 dizzy to obd1

Okay guys, we are finishing up my buddy's b16 swap in his 91 civic dx/std and the engine harness that was already on the car had obd1 plugs at the dizzy due to it having an obd1 d16 swap in it previously...

so the b16 we are putting in is an obd0 jdm which obviously has an obd0 dizzy.. I cut the obd1 plugs off of the d16 dizzy and followed multiple guides on how to match up the wires.. I have them all done except for 2....

all of the write ups and whatnot say that the two solid white wires that are on the obd0 dizzy are different and that one wire is bigger than the other... well in my case it is most definitely not- they are EXACTLY the same size/gauge wire.

So my question is how do i distinguish between these two identical white wires?

One is the ICM and I cant remember what the other one is but i read in a write up that if i get the two wires mixed up it could cause the ICM to go bad which I would like to avoid by not guessing...

So any help is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

P.S.- I have also taken off the dizzy cap to try and trace the wires to get a better idea with zero luck.

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it will not work. at all. End of story.

Here is why: The obd1 distributor has a different waveform pattern for the TDC/CYL sensor than obd0. So even IF you did the wiring 100% perfectly correct, meaning all the sensors wired to the correct wires, the obd0 ECU will not understand the obd1 waveform coming from the tdc/cyl sensor, and you will have a CEL.

obd1 and obd2 distributors use the same waveforms, so they are interchangeable, but obd0 will not work with either obd1 or 2 because of this difference.

Unfortunatly, you need an obd0 distributor to make it work with the ecu.

it isnt using an obd0 ecu guys.. we used the conversion harness and we are running an obd1 p28. sorry i forgot to mention that in the original post- that would have been helpful lol. and we got it wired but still no spark.. i used the white wire that was close to the orange and wired it to the crank sensor because the white and orange is the crank and the white wire that is away from the orange is the ICM, but like i said still no spark.. any ideas? thanks
