Hello!

Tried a quick search but I couldn't find anything.. Then again H-T search function is difficult haha..

Anyways, it's somewhat R related, I guess.. I'm planning on installing this S2K antenna onto my R and was wondering if that separate plug-socket that goes from the Antenna base #5 to the front and plugs into the deck. Is that some sort of reception amplifier, if so is it neccessary to have? I'm not sure if my aftermarket deck can support this.

Guess I gotta splice and dice to get some power to the antenna booster...

 

What about that one power wire that extends the antenna when radio is on? You can use that as your power.

i know this is an old thread but i just installed my s2k antenna on my dc2 so the yellow wire that comes from the s2k antenna connects to the stock yellow wire? and what happesn to the other 2 wires?
