Icon6 Need Help 90 accord

Ive been having some issues with my car while driving and idling.
when the car idles it idles rough. and when i drive the car down the road it seems to want to bog down. what can this be caused by. the car doesnt want to go it just runs rly terrible. when i got the car back to the house it had steam coming out under the engine bay. the motor in my 90 accord is a f22a1 with a muffler and header. any help with this issue would help so i know what i can do or have to replace.

Sound like it not only needs a tuneup (plugs , wires , filters , ect) but is overheating/leaking coolant too. Could also need fuel filter maybe for the lack of power.

too many things. Have you done any regular maintenance? Any check engine lights on? Replaced anything lately (timing belt, distributor, etc)?

I would diagnose the cause of the smoke/steam. I would also confirm cam and ignition timing. Inspect the spark plugs for discoloration. Plug health can tell a lot about how an engine is running or certain problems it may have. Make sure the head gasket is in tact.

Getting a used car is a gamble. You never know what the previous owner did or did not do.

when i looked at the steam it looked like it was coming from the back of the motor. around the exhaust. when i looked under the car it looked like the steam was coming from the catalyic converter. i will chk the headgasket and all plugs before i start to replace stuff lol.

Sounds like a fluid leak onto the exhaust causing the smoke.
