Seems to me I have 5" or so of droop when I lift the car off the ground. I suppose a way to test would be to put the car up on jack stands and (very carefully, and using common sense) start it and let it idle in first gear and work the steering and listen for BAD stuff with the suspension hanging down. If this fails and you shoot through the garage wall, take pics.
the 3 inches i have played with and that will work!
now!! im gunna try one more inch this week when i get the chance but if it doesnt work im gunna look into a drop in the motor and tranny which i wouldnt mind doing would be interesting haha
but i also have a new lca idea i would love to test but i dont have the money just yet
oh and yes.... all of you saying "buy a new car".... why the hell do people always say this? i hear this **** all the time about my neon and my civic... if you are gunna say this i want you to know, **** off you are a **** :D
to the others thank you for the advice and im trying many things and will be posting them as i get it to work so i can pass it lovingly along to others

yes thats my advice, if the OP was curious about sticking a fork in an outlet i would just suggest that they didnt. i wouldnt give reasoning. its obvious
its obvious i shouldnt do something the might turn out awesome cause of a lil risk? where is the fun in that milk!? i might grow lil hair out of this or burn it off :D either way im still going to keep posting and i hope vectorsolid gets a kick out of it lol
I am very interested to see this outcome. As for the issue, I suppose you could use some of the CR-V bits along with some blocks on top of the struts. Actually I do remember an ITR that was raced in SCCA rally that was raised up so that is something to look for as a guide.
good luck, who knows what the outcome may be. i was just thinking of the easiest cheapest, safest route
you can use crv struts in the front no problem....the crv stuff is about 2.5 inches taller than civic stuff. in order to run the crv rear struts you would have to run ITR rear lca's. the spring perch is 2.5 inches higher on crv struts and they are longer as well. you could put spacers on top of the struts as well to get the extra 1.5" or so. any more than that and i dont see your axles or camber/toe being very happy at all. (i think the axle will hit the strut fork with that much lift, but who knows.) crv guys run into axle problems with anymore than a 2.5" lift.
and for what its worth, i agree with the other guys saying "get a different car" the crv is basically an EK 4dr civic, and its got rt4wd....a lifted civic that is still fwd just seems absolutely pointless to me.
+1 for a crv and ditching the idea of lifting a civic.
