Default Price of S2000 considering it's a convertible after summer?

I heard people saying that the price of convertible cars in general tend to be cheaper in the fall compared to summer? True or false? Also s2000 since its a honda resale value is solid.

As a whole, probably. Not much though. Certainly not worth waiting to pick one up.

I'm in SoCal. I used to be in the car business for a few months. My co-workers were telling me that "Convertible cars are "SOFT" i guess is the term for them, when the weather is cold". I suppose the price is a bit lower considering the demand is not what it's like in the warmer times of the year. However how about supply, do people just garage them or do they try to sell them off?

I really want to pick one up, but want to hold out to maybe strike a better deal. IDK?

In California the price pretty much stays the same, so don't hold your breath. Every once in awhile you can find a good deal. I bought mine in early July from a dealer for $12,995 and the KBB value was $18,000. You just have to shop around.

It's not so much the price is cheaper, it's that they sell faster in the spring/summer in general. So in the fall/winter you may get people who lower their prices to get rid of it if they're having troubles selling it, but market value holds true year round.

I bought it last year when it was still blue booked at 18K. Four months later it dropped to $14,500.

I hear you. Sometimes i do stumble on some great deals, however they seem too good to be true, then again it might be a good deal. What year was yours and miles if you don't mind me asking.

Ya thats kind of what i figured. Like you mentioned demand for it not as much as summer, but still demand due to socal weather. I know i won't see a significant amount of difference in the price. But how about availability, less s2k's for sale?

Also thought about buying out of state but seems like everyone out of state only drives the car in the summer and garages it so it has super low miles, which in turn equals higher price i suppose. I know when i was living in Michigan, my cousin had one and he was only able to drive it about max 5 months out of the year. I also drove it a bunch of times myself and fell in love with it..lol

I believe this is true, however it really depends on your geographical location.
