ANOTHER bmxa transmission thing.....
I have had an ongoing saga with a 2001 I bought. Please check out this post.
I came to this forum to try to get some help from you guys. Not to offend anyone at all, but the other forum seemed to be more interested in addons than actually fixing things. Anyway, please read my post and see if you all can add anything. As a baseline, I have pulled it and rebuilt it, gonna have to pull it again long story short, for other problems....I didn't start the thread, but I kinda took it over towards the bottom half of the first page; same username...

What do you mean?
As an update, I replaced the tcc solenoid tonight and it still sets the cel. So long story short I think I may have a passage plugged up in the tranny, so I am just gonna pull it to set the clutchpack endplays, and make sure the tcc circuit pasages are clear.....

Sorry guys, read and see if you have any ideas.
I put a post up under another name, don't know if no ideas from you guys or a name that wasn't catchy. Anyway, couldn't change its name, so here's a link to it...

Working on a BMXA now.. it had been rebuilt by a transmission building company.
Before removing the rear cover I used magnetic to see if anything was loose or that I could get an Idea of what the problem was.. It came in with complaints of no reverse..
UPon seperating the torque cover I found the snap ring for the 2nd gear clutch in the bottom of the case.. Removed clutches 2 and 4 all steels and frictions were burnt and the seals on the shaft were gone.. Found small pieces of rubber in the drum.
This is a 2 shaft transmission.. I have had to look and look to just identify it .. using the year of the car etc..Gears are OK not great.. Would like to use the Alto steels and frictions on the rebuild but up to my friends pocketbook.
Any tricks short cuts something to look for on the reassembly?
I do rebuild Nissan autos and after doing a few.. I tend to use a thicker thrust bushing than recommeded and have smoother transmission shifts .. just a tighter trans..
I've looked at the thrust washers and wondered if anyone has suggestions on them

Haven't been on here for a couple months. How did your rebuild go? Mine was a straight forward rebuild, no problems really other than the stopped up filter, and little slippage evident in 2nd clutch pack. I have a p0741, tcc clutch code that won't quit, I replaced the covertor when I built it. It also slips 2 to 3 shift a little and 3 to 4 alot. I don't know whats up, I don't know how to diagnose these things. Everyone says, put a new trans in it, BULL CRAP. I fix things, not just replace them. I cant find anything wrong inside, I have to have an electrical problem, I just don't have any idea what it may be....a pin-out for the ecu would be a nice start...
