Sounds good! How much power did you make with the new setup?

Thanks man, once I get more money, I'd like to work on bottom end, the compression is only 8.2:1 and I'm looking for 9.5-10.0:1. Also the car hit VTEC at 4800 and redlines at 7300, with the bottom end work I'll be redlining at 8k plus :D

Wow those numbers are super low. Was this tuned at all. I knew of a guy in florida did a ebay turbo kit g22 with a gsr turbo base map untuned made 300whp on 10psi with a t3/t4 with a crappy exhaust manifold something's wrong. U should be a least making around 350whp at the most.

So was this tuned or on a basemap with no tune.

And also what does ur build consist of what type turbo header downpipe and exhaust are u running.
Maybe u have a restriction of some sort somewhere and and dyno graph would help a bunch if u could post.

Thats on a T70. This thing should be making more power, but its going to take more boost due to the compression which the OP already addressed.

300WHP on 15 PSI with conservative timing on a NO compression motors not bad at all.

I have full 3 in exhaust, custom 2.5" downpipe (would have been 3" but the a/c crap was in the way), Garrett GT3076R turbo, like I mentioned the compression is super low at 8.2:1 (stock gsr is like 10-11:1)and internally everything is stock, I wanna build the bottom end first, raise compression, and retune. It was dyno-tuned with Haltech Sprint 500 piggybacked on the stock f22b2 ecu. I will get a dyno chart as soon as I get up with the tuner.

Once u get away from that piggy back u will make alot more power than u think. Even if u get tuned on crome pro there's alot of little adjustments u can make and it makes a huge difference.

And also i wasn't comparing to a gsr engine it was a gsr turbo base map on crome that the g22 was running on that made 300whp untuned.

Good stuff, a little low on power but given the turbo size, compression, and a very conservative tune up... your going to give up good bit.

I think I would look toward something like Hondata or similar for management and move away from piggy back systems. Although I am not very familar with the one your using.

Why would you use a gsr turbo basemap as a tune for a g22 turbo setup. Using a basemap from anyone else's setup is not a good idea, muchless from a totally different motor.

Next thing to do is find a good set of pistons, raise the compression and retune. The tuner did do a very consersative tune, I want the setup to last until I start on the bottom end. The bottom end is stock and at like 180k miles, so the tuner thought 300 whp would suffice and I agreed... for now lol. I have some pics of the build that I will be posting soon as well as a list of all or most of the parts used lol. In about two weeks I plan on taking the car to the track and will be posting a video of that too.

what pistons are you looking at? when i looked around it seemed like the dsm piston setup would drop compression to 7.95:1. bisi makes like an 11.0 and an 8.2 compression when put into a stock f22...
