Default selling question.

I am looking at getting rid of my 2007 si coupe with 36k on it. Trust me i don't want to but the old ball and change wants a new car. What is the going rate for a used si these days? I checked blue book for the trade in value and it saying 14k. Should I do a privite sale?

That's the correct price and the buyer will be able to get it ($14,400) and the tax financed.

DO YOU THINK YOU SHOULD DO A PRIVATE SALE?

What does it matter what someone else thinks? It's a no brainer, you will get more money if you sell it outright. But most people can't afford to be without a car if they sell it. But by trading it in you lose money but get rid of it right on the spot. What's that amount of convience worth to you?

I always do private sale. But I have 3 cars

What happens when you sell your only car? Then you have to go work a deal and find the right car that you want to buy. It is convient to just trade your car in and swap it for the new one, but you do pay for that convience.

Thanks for the advice. I going to take it to carmax to see what they will give me for it.

The low end of whatever your trade-in value is based off KBB/NADA......
