Default Which car is harder to launch?

A built crvtec or high reving gsr? Given that its in the same car, same driver, same conditions. Would the low end torque of the crvtec create waay too much wheelspin for the average driver to control or would the mediocre lowend of a gsr kill 60ft times?Just couldnt figure it out

both are easy to launch.......if you have the rigth tire.

Just a SOHC on 85 shot launching at 7800 rpm on 20x8x14 slicks, and they do spin a bit. With 22x8x13 slicks I should hit high 1.7x 60 fts with ease.

Power to the SOHC!

On my crvtec with in a CX hatch I got a 2.2 60 ft on my first try the other day with some Azenis, and another 2.2 with some cheap Phaser RT1 tires.

B20 has more torque = more axle breakage/wheelspin

A crvtec doesn't really have that much torque. If you want torque get an h-series motor. if you got slicks then you shouldn't have that much of a problem

How are U gonna say a CRVTEC doesn't have much torque? Many CRVTECs out there put out over 150ft/lbs to the wheels.

Sorry but to me 150ft/lbs of torque isn't that much for a built motor. Build a h-series motor then tell me how much toque it has. It also depends on what your comparing it to. To me over 200ft/lbs to the wheels is good. Also i don't think 150ft/lbs is to much torque that the average driver wouldn't be able to handle it.

Well, first of all...if you want torque..go buy a muscle car and not a honda second, why would you need torque on a car that only weights sub 2500lbs? preludes got all the torque in the world but do you see any prelude got 12 sec all motor? NO..why? cuz it's heavy as hell. If you're here to tell us how good H series are. Yes, H series are good motors but its disadvantage outweights advantage...

I think u missunderstood me, i was not saying that the b20vtec is a weak motor. all i was saying is that the b20vtec would not be to much torque to handle. and yes you are right on a light car u don't need much to get to 12's. **** i know a guy wit just over 200hp to the wheels and he's in 12's

personally i think you should learn how to launch.... with what ever motor you have, and if you want to prevent wheelspin-drive around on slicks all day

some tire spin is GOOD, rubber likes to slip.
