dime size dent on my front fender
whats the best way to get a small dent off a fender. i was leaning over to unbolt something and forgot i had something in my pocket. so it left a small dime size dent on my fender.
i was thinking removing the fender and try hammering it back out? i see on tv they use some kind of bar that they lay against the fender and hammer it out. what is that call.

find a paintless dent removal company to do it. just hammering it out will more then likely just crack the paint and make it look worse
PDR guys have special tools and lots of training and experience with getting dents out without cracking paint or making the dent 10 times worse. believe me, it's much harder than it looks. you really have to understand the science behind a dent in metal and know exactly where to press and with how much force to relieve enough stress around the dent and form it back into shape. even a filler-spreading body guy knows how to 'massage' the metal enough to shrink and stretch certain areas in order to get a dent back to the panel's original shape. PDR guys do the samae thing on a much more delicate scale.
