O2 sensor blues.
Ok, i have an 88 hatch with an ls swap. my ecu is throwing a code 43, so i go to replace my o2 sensor, and the nut on the old sensor just rounds off instead of coming loose. How can i get this damn thing out? also, does anyone know what color the wire for o2 sensor is on my car? i'm not sure the previous owner had it hooked up correctly.
Try some wd40 on the threads and maybe a pipe wrench? I THINK and I could be wrong on this so someone chime in if I'm not, but I think its a white wire. That was the color on my 90 hatch with b16.
Ok, thanks, i'm pretty sure its hooked up to a white wire. No room for a pipe wrench in there though, it sticks straight up out of the header. I did ,however, find a crows foot socket at auto zone that i think will work. I will report back in a few hours.
If that wont work, I suggest using a vice grips.
Grip the O2 with teh vice as tight as possible. Take a heavy hammer, and POUND the teeth of the vice into teh sensor a bit. Take vice off, tighten slightly, and tre apply
This will cause the vice to grip that o2 so much it HHAS to come off.
skip the ***** wd-40 and go rightb to PB Blaster.
Never own a hodna without having a few cans of PB Blaster around. It not only is a helper for removing rusty threaded stuff, but it lubes it so if you have to re use the bolts, it helps prevent them from rusting into it again.
Props for doing your own work!

yup to the guy said about vise grip, they are wonderful tools! and yes PB blaster is almost require to work on any older honda cars haha, also you can make your own
1/2 aceton, and 1/2 automatic tranny fluid, they been working for me on suspension bolts, they are little messy but dont bother me. make sure keep them shaked when ur using it.

the fuel supply code comes on if your cars running to rich or 2 lean which is caused by 02 sensor not fuel pump or filter, and yeah go with vice grips, funny story, i had my mpfi running on ls ecu ran hella rich like cel on 24 7 for fuel supply lol. change to a pm6 ef si ecu runs prime but after like 15 20 minutes of driving cel comes on with 02 sensor code lol open header it doesnt come on at all. sorry for the thread jack just thought it would be nice to say

The crows foot socket only rounded the rest of the nut off. Already know about PB, my parents own a large farm and thats where i do all my work, my dad stopped buy cans and has a few gallon jugs and a refillable PB squirt bottle. I will try the vise grips, that sounds promising. If that doesn't work i guess i'll just take it to an exhaust hop and get the to cut off the bung and weld a new one in.
