Default magnus intake manifold

I have had a magnus intake mani since they first came out, my question is had anyone actually tested or have done any comparison with this manifold? Since im out for the rest of the season im trying to get all my **** together so I can take it down to tony. If I should buy another manifold I will, but not really trying to spend $1500 or so.
Your imput would be appreciated.

I guess the big question is what are you trying to do with the motor?

Your manifold could very well be the winning ticket for your setup.

A lot of people want to much of a manifold not understanding that it could actually hurt them. Each manifold with different specs (primary length, plenum volume, etc) is most efficient for a certain setup.
Example:
If you go running to big of a plenum with to little of power you would actually be at a lower efficiency than if you were to run a smaller plenum (thus giving you lower hp if other variables such as temp, and boost were the same).

yes high rpm motor. little break down.

84.5mm b series
10.1 compression
s372r 1.25ar
redline 10k-10.5k.
etc. etc...
850-950hp.

of course im looking for mid to top end power, or just something that is going to work right. I dunno if this one is or not because I have not had the best of luck this year, but making sure next year **** is right. That is why I have made this thread.

check out the bmc manifolds, its the nicest stuff out there right now IMO. the plenum on the magnus manifold is pretty small. we used a magnus manifold on an h22....an edelbrock manifold sitting next to it actually made the magnus look small. unfortunatly did not do any kind of before and after tests or anything

We are running the race series and a 75mm Throttle Body and are still making power to 10.8k on the dyno. This was at 31.5psi, would have turned it up more but we were out of fuel running e98.

Setup is identical to yours besides bore size.

Weird, the Magnus B series stuff i've seen (had one right next to an Edelbrock) is much bigger than the Edelbrock as far as the plenum goes.

If you're going to spend big money, i'd get the Kinsler intake. You get to choose runner length, runner diameter, degreee of taper, angle of port entry, plenum volume, number of injectors, CNC matched to your port dimension, etc. And it's half magnesium and half aluminum, so it's pretty light for what it is.

really? i havnt used a b series magnus. when we had the h series one we were shocked how small it was, even though it hit the rear engine mount

im sure the kinsler is badass, but it hasnt grown on me cosmetically yet lol. can you get it flanged for something other than the fugly q45 throttlebody? im a weirdo i know haha

Can be flanged for anything you want. Mine is for a 4 bolt mustang pattern, with a 90mm Wilson TB.

that kinsler is badass but out of my price range. Do you think it would be worth my while to change, to say the BMC? It seems I have been a guinea pig on all kinds of **** and just want to get this to work right so we can get the most out of it. But if its not going to make a diff to change unless I have to buy a 2-3k mani ill stick with what I have.

As far as guinea pig, you would not be the first to use a Magnus manifold. I'd suggest calling or emailing them to ask them your questions first hand

we were using a magnus on my 84mm gsr, s372r setup and made 831whp at 36 psi on a mustang dyno, we were pretty happy with it.
