I have a 91 Honda Accond EX and when I switch the key switch on to get ready to start my car, sometimes my engine light comes on and remains on. The engine will turn over but it will not start. It will only start when the engine light has gone off but I have to keep switching the key switch on and off until the engine light goes off. That usually takes about 30 minutes. Any ideas of what is going on?

You can search on this site for the complete procedure, but in a nutshell: find the blue connector behind the passenger side lower kick panel (where the right foot would go). Jumper that connector with a paper clip and count the times that the light blinks with the key in the ignition turned to drive (without the car on). The codes will cycle, so count them carefully.
