Icon6 Arseezy's EF Sedan (SLOWWW build)

1988 Honda Civic DX Sedan

Before:

Now:

Hey everyone. I'm new to this site so hopefully I can blend in well with the community. Today I picked up a 1988 Honda Civic DX Sedan for $400. It has the stock D15B2 with 241,000 miles. Has had all the gaskets and fluids and what not changed so no leaks Timing belt, waterpump, alternator were all changed 3 months ago. Runs good for a car with so many miles. I might swap out for an LS or GSR but who knows if I'll be able to on a KFC budget.

There's a dent in the hood, and a dent in the passenger side rear door. The side moldings are terrible, some of the moldings are broken in half, and they were repainted white along with the door handles.

Anyway, I plan on building this sedan, but at a really slow pace considering the fact that I'm only 17 with a job that isn't giving me enough hours. First thing I'm gonna end up doing is getting new side moldings, a hood, and new doors.

Here are a couple of pictures shot from the iPhone

Btw, does anyone know what the missing piece under the headlight is called? I want to get one asap and realign those headlights.

Nice find for $400 - all the stuff you listed you should be able to pick up from a pick & pull. I spend alot of time going through the local yards pulling parts. The side moldings are cheap and easy to get off. One screw on the inside of the door, then slide back with a little force, but careful not to bend. That front piece is a pain to get off/on, you pretty much need to remove the bumper and headlights to properly remove or install (unless someone here has a trick to that).

Good luck with the build - I just started another sedan build too.

Just repainted my side moldings and bumpers black. The Side moldings were painted white by the previous owner, and the front and rear bumper were turned gray from the sun? I'm not sure but that's what it looks like. I'll get pictures on soon.

I'll be doing more work on this sedan after I get this thing registered.

Btw, does anyone know what stores I can get that SEM Color Coat at? I'm planning on changing the blue interior to black, and buying some Rit Dye to change the carpets black.

I ended up painting the bumpers on the car since the screws were so rusted that my screwdriver kept shaving the cross.

I also ended up painting the side moldings while it was on the car since I'm too much of a novice to know how to take them off. (Maybe if there was a write-up on how to take them off? ._.)

Anyway, goodbye poorly rattlecanned white moldings, hello poorly rattlecanned black moldings :D

Oh, and these are what my headlights look like

Does anyone know how I can get them looking straight and in line like this?

Forgive me for I am new to the tuning world, which is the reason why I came to this website to learn from the friendly community. lol

Friendly Community?
Haha, Sure, In some sick and twisted way i guess we are. As long as you can take the constructive criticism then your good!

Keep it it! 4 doors are the best, really kinda wishing i hadnt put so much into my hatch or it would already be sold and I would be in another sedan!

It's the lip off of a 1995 Honda Accord Coupe Rear Lip. I had to have another person hold it and bend it while I drilled it into my front bumper. Then I had to chop off atleast 5 inches off of each side. If you try it out, be sure you have the lip on the bumper before you chop anything off or else you'll end up like me and have one side too short. The one on my car is the third one I've gone through (1st one was cut too short, 2nd one was ripped off of my car by a speed bump when my car was A LOT lower, and the 3rd one is the one that you see in the pictures lol.
