Civic Si hatch with B18 swap (LS swap) - how hard to maintain?
I'm thinking of trading my stock CRX DX with cold AC and an automatic for a ED Civic Si with a non-VTEC B18 swap in it. Right now my CRX runs PERFECT with even working AC and is very reliable. I was wondering how much more difficult it would be to maintain the Civic if I did the trade?
I've never owned swapped car before, and I don't want to end up kicking myself in the *** as soon as something breaks.

Like I mean I can still use OEM axles, belts, etc for that swap, right? Axles I think would be from a 90-93 Integra. No OEM engine mounts are used for that swap, I thought so that would require custom parts if they ever broke (or have someone weld one in?).
normal aftermarket parts (belts, alternator, starter, etc...) can be purchased from an auto parts store. mounts and shift linkage would be the only custom parts that would need to be purchased, but most companies (depending where the other person bought them) offer lifetime warranty. ive been riding on my HCP motor mounts in my swapped crx for close to 5yrs with no issues.
Should be pretty easy man..... my ls non vtec crx is on boost and is still maintained the same way.... keep an eye on fluids gauges belts all the normal stuff you would on any other car
if it's originally an Si, then the axles and everything except for the engine and trans should still be original. I think the hardest thing to change would be the alternator, only because it's so close to the fender well with that swap. Sounds like a fun car though, I'm jealous.
