Default >< My MR DC4 Build ><

What's up H-T
This is going to be a very slow build.

I came from a history of Hondas since I was 17
98 DW Prelude BB6
01 AP1 S2k
07 GD3 Fit

I had an 03 Mini Cooper S for a while and sold it because something broke on it literally every other day.

Finally settled into an 01 DC4 I picked up from a dealership locally.
Never had an Integra and felt more comfortable in a Honda and I love to take on a new project.

Here's some pics when i first got her:

I've toyed with the idea of boosting the B18B but i don't know anything about building a turbo kit from scratch so i'm looking at an LS/VTEC or a motor swap down the road. Some nice wheels and some STANCE.
I'd like to tuck the bay also but i don't know anything about that either.

I'm a HUGE fan of Spoon and if i get around to posting some pics of my GD3 Fit i had a bunch of Spoon parts on that.

Let me know what your comments and suggestions are!

-Ricky

Update 1

Took some pics outside my house.
Hate the 4X4 status.

Bay looks wack!
I'd like to do a light tuck eventually.

Update 4

Took the DC to L.I.P Collision to get her fixed
Got her back in a few days ^_^

Don't hate on the Canibeat frame ^_^

Notice the ugly pig nose. I can't stand it.
Picked up some OEM MR caps.

Sucks because they don't fit. The body shop forgot to put in the license plate nuts that go inside those holes. Only a $5 part so it's not that big of a deal right now. My previous bumper had them shaved off.
Notice the OEM Amber lenses too ^_^

All i need now is some STANCE and an ITR Lip and Spoiler.

Update 5

Picked up some H&R Race Springs

Started with the rears. Couldn't get the LCA Bolt loose.
Decided to quit on installing those.

They are FS BTW $110 Shipped

So decided to go another route.

I just got these in the mail!

Sorry about the crappy pics I just took them with my iPhone 4 in the dark.
I'll get some better ones later.

Function & Form Type 1's ^_^

I ordered a set of F2 LCA's as well, i'm just waiting for them to come in. The new ones have poly bushings so they should be pretty good.

I gotta take it to the shop to get the old LCA's chopped off. The old bolts seized up.
Does anyone know off the top of their head what bolts i have to get from Lowes for the rear Lower Control Arms?

Ok did some small things today...

Removed my cruise control today

I need to paint that valve cover i know lol and the bay needs a real good cleaning.

What did you guys do with this? Cut it off?

I also relocated my ground cable to the right rear of the valve cover to the frame.

Lastly I re-installed my UKDM clear corners.

Sorry the car was dirty as hell.
That's all for now.

Yea I he know's what it's for, I think he's trying to hide it. If you do cut it make sure you isolate both wires that way you don't blow a fuse or start a fire. If you look at a electrical manual and see if there is any other circuit protected by that fuse and there isn't, then just remove the cruise fuse and cut away. If you decide to tuck the harness inside the fenders then you won't need to cut that thing anyway just tape it up.

Nice Integra!

try to use rubbing alcohol on that seized bolt. i've heard that rubbing alcohol is a good lubricant for metal on metal. i had a o2 sensor that had rusted onto my exhaust manifold. I soaked the manifold with rubbing alcohol and let it sit for a few seconds and boom it came off.

thanks for the tip. pb blaster wouldn't loosen the bolt and i was using a craftsman electric impact gun.
i'm waiting till i get paid to get the damn thing cut off and then just put the new lca's in.
