Painting your carpet and cloth seats - Is it safe?
Forgive me if this has been posted somewhere before, but I cannot find the subject I'm looking for. And I'm not sure if this is the wrong category to post in but it said paint and body, so I'm going for it
My friend has an EF Sedan and the interior is blue, and terribly stained. We were thinking of cleaning the seats and carpet and repainting them black.
I've read on a few places that certain sprays cause a plastic feel to whatever fabric was painted and just looks straight up tacky.
I was wondering if anyone knew of fabric paint spray brands that doesn't cause that plastic feel and doesn't look tacky?

if you want just another color I would use rit dye its a lot better than spraying it.

I tried painting the carpet before. It did not turn out good. I would dye them or go to the salvage yard and get new carpet and seats.
