Sucked in some water in the rain
hi those who were in NYC knows.. it was raining yesterday and the day b4.. hard too, and i prob sucked in some water my car feels weird now... idling jumps... and below 3 rpm, the car shakes ALOT and feel no power, what should i do??? the car will be fine after like 10 minz of hard driving.... my friend said i should change my oil, some said i should check my engine compression..... i dunno... imma sure some of you out there have experienced this problem.. please give your input
no i was very careful... i avoid anywhere theres water... and if i have to go through them... i dont gas.... i just changed the oil today... **** still act the same way... i really think the engine is a goner....
You might have a different problem then. Usually the AEM will only suck in water if you are in a pretty deep puddle. Alot of my friends here in Vancouver BC (in rains forever here in the winter) have had no problems in the rain.
Oh, and do a search, this topic with some solutions (some better than others) have been discussed thoroughly.

Naw, your engine isn't gone. If its still running, then your motor is still good. You just have to check some ****. Take out your spark plugs to see if theres any water on them. If there is, then you're going to need to turn the motor by hand so that the water can be pushed out. If your engine light is on, then see what code you're throwing

my friend sucked in water in his 00 civic...ran for a few weeks, ran weird but still ran decent...then out of nowhere his rod went through the oil pan

try checking your spark plugs thats a good start there. if your car hesitates really bad, then you do have water in your engine. hmm you chaged your oil already like i said tyr the plugs to see if thats the case and clean aorund the plug holes to.
