I have no idea what the shell is worth. Its a 2000 ITR with a jdm swap. I called the guy and he says its salvage! i didnt ask from what most likely theft, but he says the body is in good condition and its only missing the front and rear bumper. Its a authentic ITR and not a conversion. I warned him the motor is not street leagal in C.A cause its a jdm spec itr so i don't want it just the shell!. So what would this be worth given its in good cond. no major frame/body damage a ITR rolling shell!. I want a itr and sell my gsr shell so help me join guys! I got a factory new ITR swap from the dealer to put in this bad boy! heres the ad:

Well, the price is not really what their worth, more of what people want and some people are welling to pay. I just bought my type R, supercharges, all original motor, tranny, doors, but repainted and some flaws for 5600. I see shells that people ask for more. Obviously you are aware of how much time and money it takes to restore so I personally would not pay more than 2-3 grand. But I have seen them go for that with clean titles. It might not be worth his time to sell the shell to you since he can probably move the shell+drivetrain with ease to somebody in a different state. That is, of course, unless he's in a hurry to sell and/or you offer a really good price. Either way, I advise against getting attached to this one... unless you yourself are in a hurry to buy one

 

Really depends on what in included in the shell, title condition, color and what you the buyer think it is worth.

case in point I'm selling a shell right now for 6k. Why? Clean title, 2k worth of welded profeesional cage, includes all body panels, 5 lug, brakes, rims, tires, dash and original 63k mileage cluster. Things missing include interior and motor swap and your ready for a track day. Easily can build into a track car for less than 10k.

So again, price is dependant on what you want, and are willing to pay.

 

Double check the VIN on the firewall and make sure it is an ITR too (DC231). What are the "Race engine" specs? Do they have receipts...ask alot of questions and look it over really well before making an offer.

Anyone know of a ITR shell f.s lmk and if its yours lmk if your willing to trade for a complete jrsc kit with LHT manifold and race version heat exchanger package deal for the b16/itr motor, everything is mint and comes with a comptech ice box intake, blox 70mm tb, buddy club tri y race header and buddy club spec 3 catback with magna flow muffler. this is worth $5,000+ and im willing to trade for a clean itr rolling shell.
