Break pad question
I have a 98 ITR and i am going to my first driver training track event at watkins glenn
. Anyways, when i bought the car, the previous owner gave me a front set of used Proterfield R4's. I was wondering about how much thickness left you should have on a pad like this if you are going to do an event? I dont want to wear them out while im there and im not sure if they are worth using because of the limited life on them. And if they are no good, would Axxis ultimates be good for a dual purpose pad (street/track) or will they make too much dust and be more rece oriented.
Answers to any of these questions would be greatly appreciated!!!

I say for your first event, use the pads you got right now..if they have enough thickness that is. Then some other time in the future, use the R4's which are pretty much for track use only but will get you from home to a track (depending on distance). Axxis Ultimates are definitely a great choice for street and a occasional track. From what i hear, they dont dust too much.
