hey guys my crx's hood is rusted and trashed, so I found an SIR hood, now i'm just wondering it should fit the USDM model right?, it looks exactly the same except the raised centre

 

headlights is different. "T" bar is also different.

 

and its slightly longer.

 

It's about an inch longer. If you space out your t-bar 1/2 it I'll close but everything else will be misaligned.

 

I fits and fits well with:

Tbar from JDM ef 1.5 with SIR option front end. (latch is further forward)
SIR headlights
SIR bumper and support

You could take a short cut and do the headlights and bumper later, but the USDM headlights will be short....

 

oh and the reason for the proper tbar, is if you get the tbar from the SIR, (the one with plastic vent through it), the latch is no further forward than the USDM tbar.

The USDM crx entire front radiator support is shorter (smaller for D series blocks) than the B16.

JDM did have a smaller poser crx with the SIR option front end. That is what you need since your USDM engine compartment is smaller.

Get it?

I've been there and my SIR front on my HF fits like a glove.

 

yeah you can use the bumper but you need to shave off room for the headlights. because the are way longer.and yes the hood is longer then are usdm
