Please help, tranny noob and i need a new box asap
Hey, my transmission destroyed itself today, i have a turbo d16z6 but i have a friend with a d15b tranny i can have... but im using this car for drag... are the gear ratios longer in the d15b than the d16z6 tranny? im sorry, really know nothing about gear ratios, is it the higher the number the longer the gear? or shorter :S please help

the higher the number ie 4.25 is higher than 4.05 the higher one will rev quicker...
the d15 trans has numerically a lower final drive. so as far as racing goes it may not help unless u have traction issues comin out of the hole.
