PLEASE HELP!!!! Having trouble around 3,000 rpm's!!! Honda Accord 2000 EX
PLEASE HELP!!!! I have a 2000 Honda Accord EX w/150,000miles, and recently experienced problems while driving on the hi-way when the rpm gauge reaches 3,000. rpm gauge doesn't pass 3,000. It seems to lose power, and doesn't want to accelerate any further. Even while flooring the accelerator I cannot gain speed easily. I have no problems with local driving around 30-40mph. My transmission was replaced by Honda 3yrs ago because there was a recall on my vehicle. Here is a list of things I need to do but haven't yet:
Check Engine Code: P1149-SI 02 Sensor
Check Engine Code: P1457 Evap System Leak
-I haven't changed the timing belt/water pump yet
Would the above be causing the problem or could it be something else? Any advice would be appreciated!!!!!!!

Hi:
I have the same problem in my 98 Accord EX. It only reach 2700-3000 rpm. I put a new Distributor, New spark plugs and wires, but still have the problem. So this came before I put a new Clutch, so I get up the car and look for something broke or disconect, but everything was all right. So I saw a grease ball near to the crank shaft, so I clean it with electric cleaner. Its works for 2 days, then go back to the rpm problem.
I have thise problem after the car warm up, because sometimes when its cold it runs like a Hell. Then after warming up start the rpm problems....
DO ANYONE HAVE ANY CLUE....I SCANED IT AND GET ME A TCS SENSOR CODE!!!..
ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATE...

Humor a stupid old man.....this seems to happen when that car is warm, yes?
Pull the exhaust pipe from the manifold - hope you have nice neighbors. Start the car and let it run, get the engine to temp, take it for a drive.....besides the loud noise, does the car run fine?

. Plus knowing how "things go on here" I wanted to keep the possible trash talk from others down.....take away their fun by going ahead and saying it myself
